About me

I am located on the lands of the Djiringanj people from the Yuin Nation on the Far South Coast of NSW, and founder of Call of the Kookaburra: Compassionate Care Services.

I walk alongside individuals, families and people's circle of care as they navigate the emotional, spiritual and practical terrain of dying – from a terminal diagnosis through to death, natural death care, funeral planning and bereavement support. My work centres on family‑led, home‑based care and natural burial options that honour both the person and the land.

My services resonate with individuals and families who wish to be more hands‑on and intentional in how they farewell their loved ones. This path is guided by care, kindness, simplicity and respect for Country, and it supports people to stay connected and involved, rather than handing everything over to a system.

What I offer

• End‑of‑life transition support: Steady, responsive support – including conversation, planning, bedside presence and coordination alongside palliative and community services.

• Natural death care & home funeral guidance: Practical, heart‑centred support for home vigils and family‑led funerals, including education about legalities, cooling, body care and ceremony.

• After‑death body care at home: Guidance for gentle, natural body care; sourcing biodegradable shrouds or coffins; and coordinating transport when needed.

• Funeral, memorial and natural burial planning: Support to design and facilitate personalised funerals, memorials and home‑based ceremonies, and to navigate paperwork and liaison with funeral directors when required.

• Bereavement support and referrals: Follow‑up care for families in the weeks and months after a death, with referrals to specialised grief supports where helpful.

Additional information

I work closely with Walawaani Way Conservation Natural Burial Ground in Bodalla, supporting families who are drawn to simple, ecologically conscious bushland burials.

I am also a practitioner member of the Australian Home Funeral Alliance (AHFA), part of a growing national network committed to empowering communities through home funerals and natural death care.
